Crosby skates with team, but status unchanged

| Friday, Feb. 17, 2012

Sidney Crosby skated with the Penguins on Friday at practice but said there is no change to his status.

Although he said his problems with balance have been corrected, Crosby said headaches remain.

"The headaches are more tolerable now," said Crosby, who hasn't played since Dec. 5.

Until the symptoms are completely gone, Crosby will not play.

"There is no gray area," Crosby said.

Crosby will not accompany the Penguins on their trip to Philadelphia and Buffalo this weekend but will continue skating on his own.

He only skated with the team today because ice was not available earlier or later today. Crosby still has not been cleared for contact.
