Indiana Borough Police arrested an Indiana University of Pennsylvania employee early Sunday when police arrived to break up a disturbance along Philadelphia Street.

Police said Ryan Lang, 35, of Irwin was cited for disorderly conduct and public drunkenness after the fracas that occurred about 2:15 a.m. He is employed as athletic facilities operations and equipment coordinator, a university spokeswoman said.

While on patrol, police officer Jeffrey Hoag reported seeing a disturbance along the 500 block of Philadelphia Street. Hoag alleges that Lang was seen throwing punches and trying to strike another male.

Lang was taken to the police station and later released to an acquaintance.
