Boarding Flyers defenseman costs Jordan Staal $2,500

Penguins center Jordan Staal was fined $2,500 by the league for boarding Flyers defenseman Braydon Coburn during the second period of today's 6-4 victory at the Wells Fargo Center.

The fine was the maximum allowed. It was announced immediately after the game by league`s Department of Player Safety. Staal received a minor penalty on the play.
