Soreness keeps Crosby on side

| Saturday, Nov. 8, 2008

Penguins captain Sidney Crosby didn't practice Friday but remained optimistic he'd suit up tonight against the Islanders. "I hope so," Crosby said. "I'm a little sore. We'll see (today)." Crosby is officially considered questionable with an undisclosed injury/general body soreness. Crosby skated briefly yesterday morning before shutting it down. "It's been like this for a week, it's the same thing," Penguins coach Michel Therrien said. "So far, he's been good enough to play those games since he got hurt a little bit."

• With Crosby not skating with his teammates, the Penguins went with the following line combinations (left to right): Pascal Dupuis-Evgeni Malkin-Petr Sykora; Matt Cooke-Jordan Staal-Tyler Kennedy; Ruslan Fedotenko-Max Talbot-Miroslav Satan; Paul Bissonette-Mike Zigomanis-Eric Godard

• Former Islanders Satan and Fedotenko make a return to the Nassau Coliseum tonight. Satan appreciates being a member of the visitors this time. "They decided they're going to go with young guys and rebuild," Satan said. "I'd rather be on a team that has a chance to win."
