'American Coyotes' Series

Traveling by Jeep, boat and foot, Tribune-Review investigative reporter Carl Prine and photojournalist Justin Merriman covered nearly 2,000 miles over two months along the border with Mexico to report on coyotes — the human traffickers who bring illegal immigrants into the United States. Most are Americans working for money and/or drugs. This series reports how their operations have a major impact on life for residents and the environment along the border — and beyond.

John Mayer is getting ready to embark on his first tour in three years, and it will include a stop Aug. 25 at First Niagara Pavilion in Burgettstown.

The tour is in support of 2012's “Born and Raised,” which topped the Billboard 200. It kicks off July 6 at Milwaukee's SummerFest and continues into October, with more than 40 stops. “American Idol” winner Phillip Phillips is opening on most of the dates, including the Pittsburgh-are show.
