PKMJ Technical Services, a nuclear-power services company in Moon, has been acquired by Rolls-Royce plc, the two companies said Tuesday.

Founded in 1982, privately owned PKMJ employs about 200 people and provides nuclear engineering, data management and other services to utilities that operate nuclear power plants. The workers will be retained by Rolls-Royce, said Rolls-Royce spokesman Joel Reuter.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Rolls-Royce Nuclear, based in Reston, Va., provides similar services to utilities and other customers in 20 countries. The business is a unit of London-based Rolls-Royce plc, which is unrelated to the car maker.
