• HDS Marketing leased about half the space in a renovated 62,810-square-foot building at 1000 Napor Blvd., West Pittsburgh Business Park. At one time, the building was home to WRS Motion Picture and Video Laboratory. HDS will relocate during the first quarter from RIDC Park West, said John Bilyak, who with Paul Horan, both of Colliers International/Pittsburgh, represented the landlord, Sampson Morris Group. Plans are to build 50,000-square-foot and 35,000-square-foot buildings in the park, Bilyak said. Amy Brocato and Matt Virgin of Langholz Wilson Ellis represented HDS.
• Landau Building Co. has renovated the fourth floor of the Hillman Cancer Center in Shadyside for the new Mario Lemieux Center for blood cancers. The work included clinical space, a treatment area and an outdoor terrace adorned with sculptured canopies, gardens and a putting green. The facility has 23 chemotherapy infusion bays, 23 private treatment/exam rooms and six treatment rooms with beds.
• The Renaissance Historic District of Downtown Pittsburgh, which Pittsburgh History and Landmarks Foundation seeks to add to the National Register of Historic Places, has been amended. It will include Firstside, Fourth Avenue and Central Downtown, said Frank Stroker of the Foundation. They join 100 structures from the 1940s and 1950s already included. As part of the National Register, buildings in the district would qualify for state and federal tax credits for redevelopment purposes.
• Walgreens, 108 Greensburg Road, Lower Burrell, has been sold by Craig Fuller, Marcus & Millicap. Fuller said the New York investor who acquired the building for $6.05 million wants to remain anonymous. The single-story building is on 2.2 acres and has been a Walgreens since it was built in 2009.
• Approval will be sought Thursday from the Pittsburgh Zoning Board of Adjustment for a three-story office at 5135 Fifth Ave., Shadyside, with 33 parking spaces. The property is owned by David Hambug. Forest City Station Square Associates LP wants approval for a ground sign replacement with a 12-square-foot electronic sign and four canopy signs at 73 E. Carson St.
• A hearing on plans by E2 Capital Partners LP to build a 16,158-square-foot warehouse on land along Executive Drive in Richland Township will be held Tuesday by the Richland Township Zoning Hearing Board. The hearing is at 7 p.m. in the municipal building, 4019 Dickey Road.
• Scholarships have been awarded to Natalie Celmo, $5,000, and Anthony Lester, $2,500, by the Master Builders Association and the Construction Advancement Program. They are enrolled in the University of Pittsburgh School of Engineering's Construction Management/Civil Engineering program. Celmo is a graduate of Bishop Canevin High School; Lester is a graduate of Penn Manor High School.
• East Liberty Development Inc. has moved to the fourth floor, 100 Sheridan Square, East Liberty. Its real estate company, ELDI Real Estate LLC, is at the Beauty Shoppe, 6014 Penn Ave.
• Spoon Restaurant will add a new facility when Patron Mexican Grill opens this summer in the Borders space at Eastside, East Liberty.
