A North Versailles woman has settled her federal lawsuit against a Montgomery County law firm that tacked on more than $410 in attorney fees while collecting a $10.88 trash collection bill and tried to force the sale of her McKee Road home, a lawyer for the woman said Tuesday.

Carol Carter, 72, filed a motion Monday dismissing her lawsuit. Her lawyer, Eileen Yacknin of the nonprofit Neighborhood Legal Services Association, said Carter and Portnoff Law Associates of Norristown had resolved the dispute to everyone's satisfaction and Carter still has her home, but declined further comment.

Carter had sued the law firm and two of its attorneys, Diane Pisani Boehret and Megan O. Iannacone. Boehret and Iannacone couldn't immediately be reached for comment.
