David P. Franklin joined Eckert Seamans Cherin & Mellott LLC's corporate and business counseling practice as a member (partner) in the Pittsburgh office. Franklin handles matters including acquisitions, dispositions and mergers, joint ventures and strategic alliances, distribution agreements, outsourcing arrangements, internal reorganizations, employment issues and complex commercial contracts.

Aleem Gangjee, distinguished professor of medicinal chemistry and holder of the Van Kaam, C.S.Sp., Endowed Chair in Scholarly Excellence at Duquesne University, received the American Association of Pharmaceutical Scientists Award in Drug Discovery and Development Interface.
