A North Versailles man was charged Wednesday with the slaying of his pregnant girlfriend in the parking lot of the apartment complex where they made their home.

Dorian Williams, 20, is charged with homicide for the death of Susan Hammond, 24, who was found shot to death early on Aug. 27 at the Versailles Castle apartment complex, Allegheny County Police Lt. Andrew Schurman said. Police believe the shooting occurred the night before when neighbors heard, but did not report, a gunshot around 11:30.

Schurman said detectives believe the shooting happened during a domestic dispute.

Williams already was in the Allegheny County Jail for violating terms of his probation imposed following his conviction on charges of making terroristic threats, court records show.
