The Ambridge-Aliquippa Bridge will reopen to motorists early Thursday afternoon, PennDOT said.
PennDOT closed the bridge for extensive repairs in March. It will remain closed to pedestrians through the winter and close again to motorists in March for additional repairs that should be completed late next year, PennDOT said.
PennDOT is spending $16.6 million to repair the 2,000-foot-long bridge over the Ohio River. The 85-year-old bridge carries about 12,500 vehicles a day.
