Two men kicked out of an Ellwood City bar tangled again on the street, and one man shot the other to death early Saturday, police said.

Ian Frey, 25, of Franklin, Beaver County, is charged with shooting Keith Knox, 38, of Wampum after they fought inside the Weisz's Hazel Manor Restaurant and Lounge shortly before 2 a.m., according to Ellwood police Lt. David Kingston.

Bar employees broke up the fight and kicked both men out of the bar, Kingston said.

Frey left first, Kingston said, and got into his car. Knox followed a short time later, walked up to Frey's car and begin punching him, police said.

Frey told police that he had just armed himself with a .9mm handgun. When Knox started hitting him, he started firing.

Kingston said Frey shot Knox four times, hitting the man twice in the liver and twice in the heart. Ellwood City police charged Frey with homicide.

Frey was treated at Ellwood City Hospital for minor facial injuries, Kingston said, before he was taken to the Lawrence County Jail on a homicide charge. He is ineligible for bail.
