Krampus, a mythical figure known to appear on Dec. 5 acting as an anti-Santa, took over Market Square in downtown Pittsburgh while Pirates players spread holiday cheer at the Salvation Army in Bellevue. Steelers linebacker Ryan Shazier continues to recover from a back injury suffered during in a Monday Night Football game. High school basketball kicks into high gear as the PIAA Football Championships, held at Hersheypark Stadium, have been decided. Three local teams claimed state titles.
