The 35 students from the university made the trip from Pittsburgh's sister city in China, Wuhan in the Hubei province. They are part of an English practicum program working on increasing their knowledge of American culture and learning about hunger relief in the U.S. They packed nearly 12,000 pounds of potatoes that can serve 2,318 local familes.

'I do feel discriminated against, but I abide by the law,' said Borio, of being a smoker in 2014. 'You get looked at differently.' At 46, Borio isn't planning on changing his habits. 'I like to go have a beer and a cigarette… I remember going to Three Rivers Stadium and you could smoke in the park,' he said.
