Jasmine Goldband | Tribune-Review - The mural titled, 'History of Squirrel Hill,' by artist Alan Thompson (1942) at the Squirrel Hill Station on Murray Avenue was recognized by the Squirrel Hill Urban Coalition Wednesday, May 7, 2014. The historic mural was part of the New Deal effort to stimulate the economy by the federal government's program of public works construction.

Janusek promised to shave his head if he raised $10,000 for WPHS. Janusek, raised the money by get donations for running in the Pittsburgh Marathon. Trib Total Media helped Janusek's cause and donated $15,000 to support his efforts. He has personally raised $40,377 to date for the shelter.
