There was plenty of fun for everyone Saturday at the Women in NAACP (WIN) Diamonds and Pearls Fall Fashion Show.

The lovely and talented Melessie Clark, who in August was crowned National American Miss Pennsylvania, gave a powerful performance of “And I Am Telling You.”

Clark, also a model in the show, will represent Pennsylvania in the national pageant in November in Anaheim, Calif.

Buddy andCandy Manley demonstrated ballroom dancing. The couple gives lessons from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Mondays at the YWCA's Homewood-Brushton Community Center on Frankstown Avenue; from 4:30 to 6 p.m. Wednesdays at the Salvation Army's Braddock Worship and Service Center on Holland Avenue; and from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Thursdays at Mt. Ararat Baptist Church on Paulson Avenue in East Liberty. The Manleys said dance partners can be provided.

Colleen Ryan, author of “Wake Up and Smell the Corpse,” a comedic murder mystery, was on hand to sign autographs.

The Rev. Carl E. Jones, with Greater Parkview Church in Greensburg, kept the audience in stitches as the show's fashion commentator.

The women's fashions were from Inspired by You, soon to be situated at 702 Hill St. in Greensburg, and owned by Betty West, and the men's clothing was from Remo's Men's Wear at Monroeville and Century III malls.

Models were Bernadette Berry, Jordan Bigelow, LaTanya Brown, Trudy Jackson, the Rev. Prudence Harris, Suzanne Pearson, Brent Simpson, Thomasina Skillings and the Rev. William Quill.

Fashion show chairwomen were Mary Simpson and Evelyn Jones.

The event was sponsored by the Greensburg-Jeannette branch of the NAACP at the Doubletree by Hilton Hotel in Monroeville to benefit the Westmoreland County Community College Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Meritorious Scholarship.

Seen: Jerry and Norma Skillings, Ruth Tolbert, Louise Harris, Dorothy Skillings, Dr.Robin Sims, Linda West and Marilyn Fox Lewis.
