This year's Chefs' Table at Westmoreland County Community College was titled “A Send Off to the Bocuse d'Or, Featuring the Bouchons of Lyon.” The French flair was a tribute to WCCC culinary program alumnus Richard Rosendale, who will represent the United States in the prestigious French culinary competition in January.

Executive chef at The Greenbrier in White Sulphur Springs, W.Va., Rosendale was unable to attend the Nov. 4 event at WCCC, but he sent greetings via a video presentation.

On hand were this year's inductees into the college's Center for Culinary Arts and Hospitality Hall of Fame, Deborah Balog of Irwin, a foods specialist with Giant Eagle; and Lenora Palonder of Perryopolis, chef and owner of The Inn at Lenora's in Perryopolis.

The annual dinner is prepared by students in the program, with this year's menu a Francophile's dream including Coquille Saint Jacques, boeuf bourguignon and quiche. Proceeds benefit the WCCC Education Foundation.

Seen at the table: WCCC President Daniel Obara with Ann, Ron and JoAnn Eberhardt, Debra Woods, Brent Wertz, Joe Basch, Jim and Kathy Bendel, Pat Walt, Bill and Beverly Scalise, Gene Ciafre and Trudy Brigode Ciafre, Mud and Phyllis Kluska, Bud and Ellen Smail, Mary Ann Fusco and Ricky Lang, Chuck and Nancy Anderson and Richard and Cathy Pieper.

Also, Pat Wallace and Kim Dickert Wallace, Dick and Cushie Dickert, Dr. George and Linda Austin, Ralph and Donna Liberatore, Marlene Kozak, David Volpe and Shawn Spadaro, Dr. Jason Cinti and Jennifer Miele, Sister Lois Sculco, Denny and Jennifer Terzich, Jeff and Norma Samide, Dr. Bill and Judy Scheeren, Pam Mowrer and Anna Marie Paletella.

Last but not least, the Palonder contingent: Robert Palonder, Mary Agnes Sinclair, Michael Cope, Mary Beth Cope, Joshua Cope and Owen and Carrie Palonder.
