Fanfare: Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh Foundation's 3rd annual Diamonds and Denim on Market Sqaure
By the time a sold-out crowd of 500-plus arrived at the glistening white tents for Diamonds and Denim on Market Square, there was only one question left to answer.
“Where are my diamonds?” asked Claude Kronk before pointing to his wife, Laura. “In her ears!”
Every girl's best friend wasn't hard to come by during the Children's Hospitalof Pittsburgh Foundation's June 25 soiree, where curious onlookers peered in to catch a glimpse of the monochromatic homage to Alexander McQueen that instantaneously had everyone looking around in wide-eyed wonder.
“I wanted this to be (like) New York Fashion Show. Everywhere, beams of light,” said Luxe Creative wunderkind MartinPotoczny.
While DJ Sam spun the beats, the gents offered explanations as to why they erred on the side of safe bets when it came to their chosen wardrobe ensembles.
“I was actually going to wear a diamond shirt but she wouldn't let me,” said Michael Bentz, who chaired the event with his wife, Lara.
“Where in the world do you find a diamond shirt?” she laughed.
As the night went on, intrepid explorers overtook the dance floor while others remained on the fringe.
