Sunday, March 24, 2013, 9:00 p.m.

Fab 40

The New Pittsburgh Courier toasted area men and women during its Fab 40 awards reception on March 23. Held at the Fairmont Pittsburgh, Downtown, the annual event recognizes blacks who are making strides in their professional and personal lives while also being committed to giving back to others. K. Chase Patterson, president and chief executive officer of Corporate Diversity Associates, was the emcee for the evening.

New Traditions

Dr. Zoot ensured that the soundtrack for the evening matched the “Rhythm and Rouge” theme of the sixth annual Traditions Gala. The event was March 23 at the Pittsburgh Field Club in Fox Chapel and was hosted by the Allegheny Valley Hospital Trust with proceeds supporting the capital, operational and program needs of the Natrona Heights hospital.
