Flash!: JCC's Big Night: Game On!; CLO Ambassadors' wine tasting

John Altdorfer - LATE NIGHT @THE LIBRARY Other than the line of people waiting to get inside, a ticket that sold out a week in advance, and the chance to drink in the company of literary giants, it was just another Friday for the Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh on March 7. “We love it!” said prexy Mary Frances Cooper as she surveyed 425 pushing into the main campus for After Hours @The Library. “It feels, to be in the library partying, different from you’re used to doing.” Also different was watching a war break out over the library furniture that was up for grabs via the not-so-silent auction, one that had bidders loudly staking their claim. The event raised more than $23K. Pictured here are Tracy Weigand and Ken Kucera.

John Altdorfer - FRIDAY, UNCORKED The Pittsburgh CLO Ambassadors may have seen a smaller than usual crowd for its 17th Annual Wine Tasting & Silent Auction on March 7, but the lighter load did ensure glasses would stay half full for the rest of the crowd. Held at the Duquesne Club and co-chaired by Lisa Woods and Stephen Bloomburg, proceeds from the evening benefitted the CLO’s Education and Outreach Programs. Pictured is Jamal Staten.
