Get a bird's-eye view during Wildbird Recovery fundraising event in Valencia
A rare close look at some birds of prey will be offered during a Fall Migration Festival at Wildbird Recovery in Valencia, Butler County
Set for noon to 5 p.m. Sept. 24, the sixth annual fundraising event will feature programs with the wild bird rehabilitation center's education birds, including owls, crows, red-tailed hawks, a pigeon and an American kestrel.
Also planned are presentations on bats, Monarch butterflies and bird habitat conservation, as well as chainsaw carving demonstrations and tours of the 14-acre farmland property at 120 Forsythe Road, Valencia.
Food, silent auction and basket raffle will be available.
Wildbird Recovery is a nonprofit organization dedicated to the rehabilitation and release of distressed wild birds and the promotion of responsible attitudes toward the preservation of native species, habitat and the environment.
A festival ticket is $25; each additional ticket is $20.
