Daily lane closures on Route 51 in Overbrook start Monday evening and will continue intermittently until Saturday.

A single lane will be closed in each direction between Maytide Street and Stewart Avenue from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. Monday through Thursday and from 7 p.m. to 10 a.m. Friday night into Saturday morning, PennDOT officials said. Crews will be doing manhole and pipe work and installing barriers and pavement markings.

Also involving Route 51, Stewart Avenue will close between 51 and Provost Road beginning at 9 a.m. Wednesday. The road will be closed until May 31 while crews perform new bridge construction and road reconstruction. The work is part of the $18.99 million Route 5188 project.
