Young achiever: Andrew Horvath

Andrew Horvath, 17, of Crescent attained the rank of Eagle Scout this summer.

School: Junior at Lincoln Park Performing Arts Charter School in Midland

Hobbies/interests: Andrew is studying the trumpet at Lincoln Park. He has been playing the instrument since he was about 4. When he's not studying music, Andrew likes to ride ATVs near his house.

Noteworthy: Andrew attained the rank of Eagle Scout this summer. For his project, Andrew and members of Boy Scout Troop 310 built a fire pit and benches for the youth group at the church he attends, Sharon Community Presbyterian.
