A Butler man died of natural causes while hunting in Cowanshannock on Tuesday.

A group of friends found Thomas M. Heim, 53, of East Christie Avenue, Butler, on the ground near his tree stand off Spring Road about 5:30 p.m., according to Armstrong County Deputy Coroner Brian Myers.

“He died of a heart attack, and there is no suspicion of foul play,” Myers said. “Since it was ruled as natural causes, we don't plan to conduct an autopsy.”
