Driver injured in Tarentum pickup rollover accident

Police are investigating an accident in which a pickup truck rolled over repeatedly at the north on-ramp to Route 28 at Tarentum.

The truck's driver, Jason Brendlinger, 19, of Freeport was taken to Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh following the 2:05 p.m. wreck. A hospital spokeswoman, Jennifer Davis, said Brendinger is in fair condition.

State police said Brendinger got onto the ramp from Bull Creek Road and lost control on the curve. The 2000 Ford Ranger left the roadway, went into dirt and rolled over before coming to rest on its roof beside a pile of dirt and rocks. Debris from the truck bed littered the area from the rollover.
