'American Coyotes' Series

Traveling by Jeep, boat and foot, Tribune-Review investigative reporter Carl Prine and photojournalist Justin Merriman covered nearly 2,000 miles over two months along the border with Mexico to report on coyotes — the human traffickers who bring illegal immigrants into the United States. Most are Americans working for money and/or drugs. This series reports how their operations have a major impact on life for residents and the environment along the border — and beyond.

The Community Band South under the direction of James Bennett and Dean Streator will perform 7 p.m. on the Diamond in Ligonier Sunday.

The band provides the opportunity and place for former high school and college band members who enjoy the experience of continuing to play in a band.

The invocation will be given by Pastor Steve Hospodar of the Pleasant Grove Presbyterian Church in Ligonier.

The Ligonier Valley Chamber of Commerce sponsored concerts are free.

However, donations are collected by Boy Scout Troop No. 375. Bring chairs or blankets.
