Echo marks 125 years, seeks memorabilia items for display

Wednesday, Aug. 21, 2013, 9:00 p.m.

The Ligonier Echo will mark its 125th anniversary with a commemorative section in the Sept. 5 edition.

We are seeking Ligonier Echo memorabilia to borrow for display in the front window of the Echo office.

Of particular interest are items community members may have purchased during an auction of typesetting plates and materials from the Tom Gonda print shop conducted in the late 1980s.

The Echo is also looking for old newspaper carrier bags, calendars or other Echo advertising items. Call the Echo office at 724-238-2111 or email echo@tribweb.com by Sept. 1, if you would like to lend an item for the historical display.
