Shootings deadly for 2 in Duquesne

A double shooting in Duquesne on Monday evening was fatal for two men.

Allegheny County Medical Examiner's Office officials said Tyrone Coleman, 18, of Duquesne was pronounced dead at UPMC McKeesport at 7:17 p.m. Lawrence Short, 29, of Clairton was pronounced dead at 10:03 p.m. at UPMC Mercy.

Autopsies are scheduled for Tuesday morning.

The shootings occurred shortly before 6 along the 600 block of Crawford Avenue, Duquesne police Chief Richard Adams said.

Neighborhood residents told Trib Total Media news exchange partner WPXI-11 that the incident took place outside a residence. It is under investigation.
