Allegheny County detectives and crime scene investigators are investigating a body that was discovered in a Monroeville motel this morning.

The body was found in East Exit Motel on Route 22, between the Pennsylvania Turnpike on-ramp and #1 Cochran of Monroeville car dealership.

Police have not yet released the identity of the dead man or discussed the cause of death. Police said they did not see any gunshot or knife wounds on the body.

Police towed a white SUV from the motel parking lot, but police would not confirm if it had belonged to the dead man.

Monroeville's animal control officer is caring for two puppies that were removed from the room.
