$18 million reasons for WWE to oversaturate

Ever since the WWE added a third hour to Raw as well as its Main Event and Saturday Morning Slam shows, many people have questioned if the WWE was spreading itself too thin.

Earlier this week, some numbers were released that might explain why the WWE is airing over six hours of TV a week.

Each week, the WWE is earning $175,000 extra for the third hour of Raw, $100,000 for Main Event, and $75,000 for Saturday Morning Slam.

That equals out to about $18 million a year.

The WWE has not been doing a good job of establishing talent since adding the extra TV time.

Survivor Seriestomorrow night

The WWE presents Survivor Series tomorrow night on PPV.

CM Punk will defend the WWE title against John Cena and Ryback in the main event.

Look for Punk to retain as he is heavily rumored to face Mick Foley at TLC next month.

Also, Cody Rhodes may miss the event due to injury.

WrestleMania shatters tickets record This past Saturday, tickets for WrestleMania 29 at MetLife Stadium, home of the NFL's Giants and Jets, shattered two WWE records for ticket sales in one day.

The company sold 52,029 tickets for a gross of over $10 million.

The old records were 51,620 tickets sold for WrestleMania X-8 (2002, with the big match being Hulk Hogan versus the Rock) and WrestleMania 28's $6.3 million gross.

Mania 30 location picked?

Speaking of Mania, the WWE has been looking at different locations to hold the 30th edition of its “Super Bowl”.

The frontrunner right now appears to be the Mercedes-Benz Superdome in New Orleans but Los Angeles could be in play.

More WWE PPV news

Last week during the WWE's tour throughout Europe, officials met with three different stadiums to negotiate the WWE having a PPV there.

SummerSlam ‘92 was the last WWE PPV that was offered across the world, and it drew 80,355 fans.

The WWE is negotiating with stadium personnel from Wales, London, and Manchester.

The issue with doing a live PPV from England, and talk is that the WWE is shopping next year's SummerSlam, is the time it would happen live.

If the show were to take place from England but air live here, it would start anywhere from midnight to 2 a.m.

A normal 8 p.m. start would air live at noon or 2 p.m. here or on tape delay.

If it aired on tape delay, the WWE would have to realize that people would read results online and not watch the show at 8 p.m. here.

Tribute to the Troops

The WWE's 10th annual show, “Tribute to the Troops”, will air as a two-hour special on USA Network on Wednesday, Dec. 19th and as a one-hour special on Saturday, Dec. 22.
