All of a sudden, you have “new footage” and a “new angle” of the Tomlin sideline shimmy during the Ravens' Jacoby Jones' kickoff return.

The only thing it showed me was what I had thought all along.

He did it on purpose.

Is there anyone out there who believes Tomlin didn't know exactly what he was doing when he MC Hammer-ed his way into Jones' vision or path?

The wry little smile he had on his face afterwards summed it up, not to mention the fact that he turned his head just before doing his dance away.

My daughter gives the same little grin when she does something she shouldn't be doing. If an 18-month-old knows what it means, so does Tomlin.

The fact that the NFL sent a memo to coaches Wednesday about staying behind the white line is comical to me. Not to defend Tomlin, but there isn't one coach in the league that follows that rule.

But during the kickoff return and the new footage, there's no knucklehead on the white line except our coach, a ball boy and two officials.

So now what?

What kind of punishment does the league hand down?

Six-figure fine? I can live with that. Suspension? Heck, I say sit him for the rest of the year. But taking away a draft pick, as some NFL experts have reported the league has contemplated, is asinine. Don't punish the team because Tomlin pulled a foolish stunt.

What, if any, action does the organization take against the coach?

A suspension if the league decides not to?

Most likely it will be nothing at all, but I think Tomlin should be fired.

There are smart, intelligent people out in real-world jobs who make mistakes, too. And they pay the ultimate price. They lose their jobs.

To recap, Tomlin said he watches the return on the Jumbotron for the perspective and view it gives him. I get that. But how don't you realize that Jones is coming right at you? Tomlin's not a dumb guy. He's a straight shooter with the standard being the standard. I think he knew exactly what he was doing.

So in his press conference, he pretty much lied to the media, saying he lost track of where Jones was. Sure you did, coach.

Do I think Tomlin will get fired? No, not for this mess and not for the season that his team is having. Do I think he should be? Absolutely.

• I'm a Steelers fan. I love the organization and I bleed black and gold like most. But the game and the NFL has passed up the Rooneys. I understand wanting to run the ball more and bringing in Todd Haley and that offense to do so, but the Steelers don't have Adrian Peterson to hand the ball to.

That's not a knock on Le'Veon Bell, I think the young man has a bright future, but look how much more comfortable our $120 million quarterback looks in the no-huddle scheme. It just seems like the offense has been so predictable.

I understand it's the “old-school” way and that the glory days of the Steelers were teams that featured a line-em-up, punch-you-in-the-mouth offense. There are only a handful of teams in the league that try that any more. But unlike the Steelers, those teams have the personnel to be able to do it. The league is more about up-tempo, pass-heavy offenses that run the ball by setting it up with the pass, and the Steelers have the quarterback to do it. We've seen it the last few weeks.

It's just that, I think the Rooneys' loyalty gets in the way.

• Ray Lewis hexed the two-point conversion pass that Emmanuel Sanders dropped. Just sayin'.

That's what you get for doing the Ray Ray dance, Manny! Just catch the damn ball.
