'American Coyotes' Series

Traveling by Jeep, boat and foot, Tribune-Review investigative reporter Carl Prine and photojournalist Justin Merriman covered nearly 2,000 miles over two months along the border with Mexico to report on coyotes — the human traffickers who bring illegal immigrants into the United States. Most are Americans working for money and/or drugs. This series reports how their operations have a major impact on life for residents and the environment along the border — and beyond.

A new Sheetz store is scheduled to open its doors in North Huntingdon on Thursday.

The store, located at 101 Ronda Court, is planning to give away $100 Sheetz gift cards to the first 50 people in line when the store opens at 11 a.m. The store will also make a $2,500 donation to the Special Olympics of Pennsylvania at the opening, which will be attended by city and county officials.
