'American Coyotes' Series

Traveling by Jeep, boat and foot, Tribune-Review investigative reporter Carl Prine and photojournalist Justin Merriman covered nearly 2,000 miles over two months along the border with Mexico to report on coyotes — the human traffickers who bring illegal immigrants into the United States. Most are Americans working for money and/or drugs. This series reports how their operations have a major impact on life for residents and the environment along the border — and beyond.

Sunday, Feb. 24, 2013, 9:00 p.m.

The Western Pennsylvania Police Athletic League will host an evening of Golden Gloves boxing March 2 at 3 Lakes Golf Course, located at 6700 Saltsburg Road.

The fights will start at 7 p.m. and will include 10 to 12 bouts.

A number of Pittsburgh-area boxers will be featured on the card, including Plum High School student Matt Hefner, 14, and Plum native Craig Kido, 30.
