'American Coyotes' Series

Traveling by Jeep, boat and foot, Tribune-Review investigative reporter Carl Prine and photojournalist Justin Merriman covered nearly 2,000 miles over two months along the border with Mexico to report on coyotes — the human traffickers who bring illegal immigrants into the United States. Most are Americans working for money and/or drugs. This series reports how their operations have a major impact on life for residents and the environment along the border — and beyond.

Penn Hills Municipal Council will meet March 4 in the council chambers of the municipal building, located at 12245 Frankstown Road.

The meeting will take place at 7:30 p.m. On the agenda:

• A resolution authorizing the municipality to enter into a lease agreement with the Penn Hills Soccer Association for use of four soccer fields and a concession stand at Universal Park;

• A resolution approving a one-time change to the rules and regulations of the personnel board regarding the minimum qualifications for the position of lieutenant in the Penn Hills Police Department;

• A resolution exonerating the Penn Hills School District from the collection of 2012 real estate taxes.
