'American Coyotes' Series

Traveling by Jeep, boat and foot, Tribune-Review investigative reporter Carl Prine and photojournalist Justin Merriman covered nearly 2,000 miles over two months along the border with Mexico to report on coyotes — the human traffickers who bring illegal immigrants into the United States. Most are Americans working for money and/or drugs. This series reports how their operations have a major impact on life for residents and the environment along the border — and beyond.

The Penn Hills School District Board of Directors has moved its May meeting date to May 30.

Originally scheduled for May 13, the change will allow district officials the maximum amount of time to adjust 2013-'14 budget numbers based on new funding information from the state. The board will then hold an official vote on next year's budget.

The meeting will take place at 7:30 p.m. in the board room at Linton Middle School.
