The Parkway East (I-376) will be closed in both directions for approximately 30 to 60 minutes beginning at 8 p.m. on Wednesday, June 26, between the Penn Hills (Exit 81) and Monroeville (Exit 84-A) interchanges. Crews from Duquesne Light will be replacing an overhead high tension wire.

State police will control traffic. Motorists can use the following detours:

• Eastbound: Exit at the Monroeville Business (Exit 80) interchange; follow Business Route 22 to the Route 48 intersection

• Westbound: Take business Route 22 (William Penn Highway) west; follow to the West I-376/22 Pittsburgh on-ramp; take ramp onto Parkway East.

PennDOT officials are asking drivers to use caution and expect delays.
