Penn Hills school board to solicit bids for track, tennis courts

The Penn Hills School District Board of School Directors will hold a special voting meeting on Monday night (Aug. 26), at 7:30 p.m. at Linton Middle School, located at 250 Aster Street.

Among the items on the agenda:

• Authorization to advertise and solicit bids for the resurfacing of the track at Linton Middle School as well as the tennis courts.

• Recalling five professional employees who were furloughed in June during budget cuts. If the measure passes, nine of the 11 furloughed employees will have been recalled.

• The creation of five new secretarial positions throughout the district.
