'American Coyotes' Series

Traveling by Jeep, boat and foot, Tribune-Review investigative reporter Carl Prine and photojournalist Justin Merriman covered nearly 2,000 miles over two months along the border with Mexico to report on coyotes — the human traffickers who bring illegal immigrants into the United States. Most are Americans working for money and/or drugs. This series reports how their operations have a major impact on life for residents and the environment along the border — and beyond.

Tuesday, Oct. 29, 2013, 11:00 a.m.

The kickoff for the 2014 Riverview Relay for Life will take place from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at Riverside Landing, located at 12 Washington Avenue in Oakmont.

The cost is $10 per person, and the evening will include raffles, giveaways, food, fun and a chance to win a prize for those who attend in costume (nothing too frightening or violent).

The 2014 Riverview Relay will take place May 31 and June 1 at Oakmont's Riverside Park.

For more information, call 412-828-0220 or email riverviewrelay@aol.com. Check out the Relay website at www.relayforlife.org/pariverview.
