Two contests again will be part of this year's Sugar Plum Days festivities.

A house-decorating contest is being coordinated by the Sugar Plum Days Committee.

There is no entry fee.

Winners will be selected in the categories of regular criteria and “Griswold Award” criteria.

The award in the regular-criteria category goes to the most traditionally decorated house. The Griswold award goes to the most unusually decorated house.

A wreath decorating contest also will be coordinated by the Sugar Plum Days Committee.

There is no entry fee.

Finished wreaths will be displayed at the library during regular hours. Judging will be by popular vote. Anyone may visit the library and vote for a favorite wreath.

Ribbons and prizes for first ($50), second ($30) and third ($15) places will be awarded to the winners.

Winners will be announced at the Borough Building at 7 p.m. Dec. 15.

Decorated wreaths should be taken to the library by 8 p.m. Dec. 10. Voting will take place from Dec. 11 to 15.
