Baldwin Township leaders are trying to steer more people to the municipality's website for updates on community happenings and an electronic newsletter, Manager Rob Zahorchak told commissioners last week.

Children from the township will be circulating this week, passing out pamphlets to nearly all 800 households and alerting residents to the latest happenings, Commissioner Susan Snyder said. More specifically, the pamphlets will instruct residents to use the township website — — more often, she said.

Castle Shannon carnival

The annual Castle Shannon Volunteer Fire Company Carnival will be held from July 29 through Aug. 3 starting at 7 p.m. each day, Baldwin Township commissioners reminded their residents last week.

The Castle Shannon Volunteer Fire Company also serves Baldwin Township.
