'American Coyotes' Series

Traveling by Jeep, boat and foot, Tribune-Review investigative reporter Carl Prine and photojournalist Justin Merriman covered nearly 2,000 miles over two months along the border with Mexico to report on coyotes — the human traffickers who bring illegal immigrants into the United States. Most are Americans working for money and/or drugs. This series reports how their operations have a major impact on life for residents and the environment along the border — and beyond.

Allegheny County police are seeking a man charged with the fatal shooting of a teenager in Duquesne.

Police on Thursday charged Eric "E-bundles" Barlow, 21, with homicide, attempted homicide, conspiracy and related crimes. Barlow is from Duquesne, but may be with relatives in Butler County, county police Sgt. Scott Scherer said in a release.

Barlow should be considered armed and dangerous, Scherer said.

Daniel Peek, 16, died in the shooting that injured three other people at the Hilltop Parkview Manor Apartments on Saturday.

Anyone with information on Barlow's whereabouts is asked to call police at 412-473-1300.
