The following is a list of defendants charged with a first offense of driving under the influence in Westmoreland County criminal court. These defendants receive a standard sentence that includes enrollment in the Accelerated Rehabilitative Disposition program for one year, attendance at an alcohol highway safety school and a one-month driver's license suspension. The ARD program does not require defendants to admit guilt, but does require that they be placed on probation. If they satisfactorily complete the probation, they may then file a petition to have the case expunged. Unless otherwise noted, court costs are placed on the defendant.

The defendants are:

• Eugene Twardesky, 36, of 221 Lenox St., Uniontown.

• Shawn Allen Houser, 36, of 133 Westpoint Drive, Greensburg.

• Deanna Marie Surdoval, 20, of 441 Vine St., Greensburg.

• Jaclyn Adametz, 25, of 825 Washington St., Belle Vernon.

• Catherine Carlson, 36, of 114 Blueberry Lane, New Florence.

• Jonas Robert Chan, 36, of 1611 Briarwood Drive, Latrobe.

• Amber L. Donahoe, 23, of 2339 Lindale Court, North Huntingdon.

• Glen C. Ridinger, 24, of 5 Third St., Ligonier.

• Michael J. Deni Jr., 21, of 514 N. Fourth St., Jeannette.

• Jamie Troxell, 28, of 3132 McCloy Ave., Murrysville.

• Erin L. Wagner, 33, of 233 McGeary Hollow Road, Leechburg.

• Wayne Laverne Harrison, 56, of 225 Forysthe Road, Valencia.

• Thomas Kinter, 46, of 1943 Glencrest Drive, Monroeville.

• David J. Woodward, 48, of 5916 Sterling NW, Canton, Ohio.

• Richard W. Nilles, 63, of 233 E. Main St., Mt. Pleasant.

• Latricia Ann Beer, 55, of 129 Long Drive, Irwin.

• Katie Albright, 19, of 8890 Hilltop Road, North Huntingdon.

• Robert R. Ragan, 46, of 961 First St., North Huntingdon.

• William Conrad, 42, of 192 17th St., New Florence.

The following is a partial list of criminal cases handled by judges in the most recent term of Westmoreland County criminal court. Some of the cases involve first-time offenders being enrolled in the Accelerated Rehabilitative Disposition program. The ARD program does not require defendants to make an admission of guilt, but does require that they be placed on probation for up to two years. If they satisfactorily complete the probation, they may then file a petition to have the case expunged. Unless otherwise noted, court costs are placed on the defendant.

Judge Richard E. McCormick Jr.

• Dawn Stepoli, 40, of 478 Clarendon Ave., Monessen, pleaded guilty to theft by unlawful taking. She was sentenced to probation for two years.

• Llewellyn Johnson Jr., 58, of 540 Fourth Ave., New Kensington, was sentenced to 27 months to seven years in jail for the charge of endangering the welfare of children. On a separate charge of endangering the welfare of children, he was sentenced to 27 months to seven years in jail. He was ordered to attend sex offender's treatment and comply with Megan's Law Registration. Sentences are to run consecutively.

• Thomas M. McQuaide, 42, of 1111 Sober Lane, Leechburg, pleaded guilty to driving under the influence. He was sentenced to intermediate punishment for five years with one year of electronic monitoring. He was ordered to attend an alcohol highway safety school and his license was suspended for 18 months. He was also granted work release.

• Kari Janae Daukantas-Rupert, 40, of 738 E. Seneca St., Monessen, was sentenced to probation for six months for the charge of procure for self/other drug by fraud. On a separate charge of driving under the influence, she was sentenced to 72 hours to six months in jail. She was ordered to attend an alcohol highway safety school and her license was suspended for 12 months.

• Marcus Yockey, 21, of 117 E. Third St., Derry, pleaded guilty to theft by unlawful taking and receiving stolen property. He was sentenced to probation for one year.

• Stacie Lee Miller, 37, of 1192 Garden St., Greensburg, pleaded guilty to driving under the influence. She was sentenced to one to five years in jail. She was ordered to attend an alcohol highway safety school and her license was suspended for 18 months.

• Charles Allen Davis, 52, of 243 North Avenue, Chalfont, was sentenced to six to 23 months in jail for the charge of receiving stolen property.

• Mark Steven Galinac, 20, of 3000 South Grand Blvd., Greensburg, pleaded guilty to burglary, driving under the influence, theft by unlawful taking and receiving stolen property. He was sentenced to three to six years in jail.

• Joshua William Ellenberger, 19, of 422 Lloyd Ave., Latrobe, charged with access device issued to another who did not authorize use; possess access device knowing counterfeit, altered and theft by unlawful taking was accepted into the ARD program for one year.

• Christopher J. Cardy, 25, of 200 Seventh Ave., Altoona, pleaded guilty to driving under the influence. He was sentenced to 120 days to five years in jail. He was ordered to attend an alcohol highway safety school and his license was suspended for 18 months.

Judge Debra A. Pezze

• Brain Shunk, 22, of 3208 Bratkovich Road, Claridge, pleaded guilty to receiving stolen property. He was sentenced to 30 days to 23 months in jail. On a separate charges of receiving stolen property and criminal conspiracy, he also pleaded guilty and was sentenced to probation for two years. He was ordered to undergo a drug and alcohol evaluation and follow all recommended treatment. Sentences are to run concurrent.

• Eric Kent Lang, 43, of 227 Hay St., Pittsburgh, pleaded guilty to driving under the influence. He was sentenced to intermediate punishment for five years with 180 days of electronic monitoring. He was ordered to attend an alcohol highway safety school and his license was suspended for 18 months. He was also granted work release.

• Racechal Lynn Daniels, 19, of 110 Laird Street Rear, Greensburg, pleaded guilty to criminal conspiracy. She was sentenced to probation for two years.

• Dino M. Sedlak, 34, of 13715 St. Clair Drive, North Huntingdon, was sentenced to nine to 23 months in jail for the charge of habitual offenders. He was also ordered to undergo a drug and alcohol evaluation and follow all recommended treatment.

• Melissa Johnson, 31, of 650 Center Road, Pittsburgh, charged with recklessly endangering another person and reckless driving, was accepted into the ARD program for one year.

• Anthony L. Cicolini, 37, of 34 Fourth St., Greensburg, pleaded guilty to use/possession of drug paraphernalia. He was sentenced to probation for six months.

• Celestine Thomas, 40, of 721 Stella St., Jeannette, pleaded guilty to retail theft. She was sentenced to probation for two years and was ordered to undergo a drug and alcohol evaluation and follow all recommended treatment.

• Thomas Allan McElhoes, 47, of Laceyville RR2, pleaded guilty to homicide by vehicle. He was sentenced to six to 23 months in jail to be followed by probation for 10 years.

• Larry E. Ramsey, 33, of 136 Brighton Ave. Rear, Rochester, pleaded guilty to possession of a controlled substance and possession with intent to manufacture or deliver. He was sentenced to six to 23 months in jail. He was also ordered to undergo a drug and alcohol evaluation and follow all recommended treatment.

• Eugene Irvin Jr., 53, of 32 Zellers St., Greensburg, pleaded guilty to driving under the influence. He was sentenced to intermediate punishment for five years with six months of electronic monitoring. He was ordered to attend an alcohol highway safety school and his license was suspended for 18 months. He was also granted work release.

Judge Rita D. Hathaway

• Michael Joseph Kotweicz, 32, of 1703 Kirk Drive, Verona, pleaded guilty to retail theft and use/possession of drug paraphernalia. He was sentenced to time served to 18 months in jail. He was also ordered to undergo a drug and alcohol evaluation and follow all recommended treatment.

• Patrick Vincent Lee, 43, of 316 South Gill St., State College, pleaded guilty to driving under the influence. He was sentenced to 48 hours to six months in jail. He was ordered to attend an alcohol highway safety school and his license was suspended for 12 months.

• Victor Michael McCurdy, 20, of 425 South Maple Ave., Greensburg, pleaded guilty to possession with intent to manufacture or deliver and possession of a controlled substance by person not registered. He was sentenced to 90 days to 23 months in jail. He was also ordered to undergo a drug and alcohol evaluation and follow all recommended treatment.

• Christina Esther Swick, 30, of 717 Eastmont Drive, Greensburg, pleaded guilty to possession with intent to manufacture or deliver. She was sentenced to restrictive intermediate punishment for two years with six months of electronic monitoring.

• Kevin Jerry Debaughn, 34, of 1317 Penn Ave. Wilkinsburg, pleaded guilty to use/possession of drug paraphernalia. He was sentenced to probation for one year. He was also ordered to undergo a drug and alcohol evaluation and follow all recommended treatment.

• Fred Allen Kerns, 19, of Greensburg, pleaded guilty to false identification to law enforcement. He was sentenced to probation for six months. He was also ordered to undergo a drug and alcohol evaluation and follow all recommended treatment.

• William Nathan Scott, 50, of 319 Camp Ave., New Kensington, pleaded guilty to driving under the influence. He was sentenced to 72 hours to six months in jail. He was ordered to attend an alcohol highway safety school and his license was suspended for 12 months.

• George Robert Richardsen, 22, of 263 Highland Ave., New Kensington, pleaded guilty to possession with intent to manufacture or deliver. He was sentenced to nine to 18 months in jail. On a separate charges of criminal conspiracy, criminal trespass and possession with intent to manufacture or deliver, he also pleaded guilty and was sentenced to 24 to 48 months in jail to be followed by probation for one year. Sentences are to run consecutively.

• Nicholas Joseph Gasparro, 20, of 135 Rt. 217N, Latrobe, pleaded guilty to criminal attempt. He was sentenced to probation for one year. He was also ordered to undergo a drug and alcohol evaluation and follow all recommended treatment.

• Carmen Donofrio, 53, of 7331 Dennison Ave., Pittsburgh, pleaded guilty to possess/safe/use display documents. He was sentenced to 60 days to 23 months in jail. He was also ordered to undergo a drug and alcohol evaluation and follow all recommended treatment.

• Jeffrey W. Patterson, 49, of 612 Longview St., Greensburg, pleaded guilty to use/possession of drug paraphernalia. He was sentenced to probation for one year.

• Rachael Marie Barnhart, 19, of 39 Chrisner Road, Ligonier, charged with use/possession of drug paraphernalia, was accepted into the probation without verdict program for six months.

• Edward Lawrence Gamble Jr., 20, of 334 Longfellow St., Vandergrift, charged with use/possession of drug paraphernalia, was accepted into the probation without verdict program for two months.

• James M. Veahman, 28, of 409 Lehmar St., Ligonier, pleaded guilty to driving under the influence. He was sentenced to intermediate punishment for five years with 12 months of electronic monitoring. He was ordered to attend an alcohol highway safety school and his license was suspended for 18 months. He was also granted work release.

• Joseph Michael Derosa, 57, of 7135 Michigan Ave., Pittsburgh, pleaded guilty to theft by unlawful taking. He was sentenced to probation for two years. He was also ordered to pay restitution in the amount of $1,675.

• Melissa Moxinchalk, 26, of 1442 Main St., Loyalhanna, charged with theft by unlawful taking, receiving stolen property and forgery, was accepted into the ARD program for one year.

• Warren Calvin Brenner, 53, of 525 Fifth Ave., Tarentum, pleaded guilty to possess/safe/use display documents. He was sentenced to three days to 23 months in jail. On a separate charge of use/possession of drug paraphernalia, he also pleaded guilty and was sentenced to probation for one year. He was also ordered to undergo a drug and alcohol evaluation and follow all recommended treatment.

• Nicholas Carlo Paterline, 23, of 1517 Collinwood Place, West Newton, pleaded guilty to driving under the influence. He was sentenced to probation for six months.

• Cheri L. Greco, 36, of 1010 Maple St., Natrona Heights, pleaded guilty to criminal conspiracy. She was sentenced to intermediate punishment for one year with two months of electronic monitoring.
