The following is a list of defendants charged in Westmoreland County criminal court with a first offense of driving under the influence of alcohol. These defendants receive a standard sentence that includes enrollment in the Accelerated Rehabilitative Disposition program for one year, attendance at an alcohol highway safety school and a one-month driver's license suspension. The ARD program does not require defendants to admit guilt, but does require that they be placed on probation. If they satisfactorily complete the probation, they may then file a petition to have the case expunged. Unless otherwise noted, court costs are placed on the defendant.

The defendants are:

The following is a partial list of criminal cases handled by judges in the most recent term of Westmoreland County criminal court. Some of the cases involve first-time offenders being enrolled in the Accelerated Rehabilitative Disposition program. The ARD program does not require defendants to make an admission of guilt, but does require that they be placed on probation for up to two years. If they satisfactorily complete the probation, they may then file a petition to have the case expunged. Unless otherwise noted, court costs are placed on the defendant.

Judge Debra A. Pezze

* James Parkinson, 43, of 1158 Ohio St., Export, pleaded nolo contendere to violation. He was sentenced to six months of non-reporting probation.

* Brandon John Roth, 22, of 202 Shelby Drive, Hempfield, pleaded guilty to use/possession of drug paraphernalia. He was sentenced to probation for one year and was ordered to undergo a drug and alcohol evaluation and follow all recommended treatment.

* Nattale A. Turner, 30, of 403 Steck St., Greensburg, pleaded guilty to possession of a controlled substance by person not registered. Turner was sentenced to 60 days to 12 months in jail, with credit for time served. On a separate charge of criminal mischief, Turner also pleaded guilty and was sentenced to probation for one year. Turner was ordered to undergo a drug and alcohol evaluation and follow all recommended treatment.

* Barbara Willhoite, 39, of 1004 Ellsworth Ave., Jeannette, pleaded guilty to retail theft. She was sentenced to probation for one year.

* Clayton C. Hartung, 19, of 113 N. First St., Jeannette, pleaded nolo contendere to indecent assault on a person less than 16 years of age. He was sentenced to probation for two years and ordered to undergo an evaluation and follow all recommended treatment. He was also ordered to have no unsupervised contact with the victim or any female under the age of 16 years of age.

* Darin Damone Henley, 25, of 507 Crawford Ave., Duquesne, pleaded guilty to five counts of burglary. He was sentenced to five to 10 years in jail.

* Joshua Eugene Trent, 18, of 106 Lafayette Circle, Penn Township, charged with criminal conspiracy, theft by unlawful taking, receiving stolen property, access device is counterfeit, altered, incomplete, possession of marijuana and use/possession of drug paraphernalia, was accepted into the ARD program for one year. He was also ordered to undergo a drug and alcohol evaluation and follow all recommended treatment.

* Scott Christner, 33, of 5117 Whispering Pines Lane, Murrysville, charged with simple assault and harassment, was accepted into the ARD program for one year. He was also ordered to complete anger management and parenting classes.

* Kathleen Shirey, 41, of 352 White School Road, Unity, charged with perjury, was accepted into the ARD program for two years.

* Joshua S. Gunter, 20, of 425 Chestnut Ridge Road, Derry Township, pleaded guilty to driving under the influence. He was sentenced to intermediate punishment for six months with four days of electronic monitoring.

* Andrea M. Uiselt, 44, of 508 Patton St., Jeannette, charged with resisting arrest/other law enforcement, public drunkenness and disorderly conduct, was accepted into the ARD program for one year.

* Anthony Yungwirth, 25, of 515 Zone St., Trafford, pleaded guilty to driving under the influence. He was sentenced to intermediate punishment for six months with 60 days of electronic monitoring. He was ordered to attend an alcohol highway safety school and his license was suspended for 12 months.

* Natalie Jean Titus, 30, of 717 Hepler Circle, Madison, pleaded guilty in a bad-checks case. She was sentenced to six days to 23 months in jail, with credit for time served.

* Karen Jane Hammit, 41, of 517 S. Fifth St., Youngwood, charged with possession of a controlled substance and use/possession of drug paraphernalia was accepted into the probation without verdict program for one year. She was also ordered to undergo a drug and alcohol evaluation and follow all recommended treatment.

* Gary C. Camptella, 53, of 33 Sparta Drive, Hempfield, pleaded guilty to driving under the influence. He was sentenced to one to five years in jail. He was ordered to attend an alcohol highway safety school and his license was suspended for 18 months. He was also ordered to undergo a drug and alcohol evaluation.

* Joshua David Lackey, 19, of 301 George St., Greensburg, pleaded guilty to robbery and simple assault. He was sentenced to 11 to 23 months in jail.

* Lorenzo Charles Gardner, 24, of Monessen, was sentenced to one to two years in jail for the charge of possession with intent to manufacture of deliver.

* Adam R. Pascale, 20, of 800 N. First St., Jeannette, pleaded guilty to simple assault and endangering the welfare of children. He was sentenced to three to 23 months in jail. He was also ordered to attend anger management and parenting classes.

* Taris Robert Longstreet, 20, of 8 E. Division St., Jeannette, pleaded guilty to defiant trespass. He was sentenced to probation for six months.

Judge Rita D. Hathaway

* Nancy J. Riggle, 56, of 237 Beaver Run Road, Washington Township, was sentenced to 48 hours to six months in jail for the charge of driving under the influence. She was ordered to attend an alcohol highway safety school and his license was suspended for 12 months.

* Michael Anthony Conley, 19, of 39 Zane Ave., Lower Burrell, charged with access device issued to another who did not authorize use, theft by unlawful taking, receiving stolen property and criminal conspiracy was accepted into the ARD program for one year.

* Micheal J. Yandrick, 24, of 127 First St., Hostetter, charged with use/possession of drug paraphernalia was accepted into the probation without verdict program for six months. He was ordered to undergo a drug and alcohol evaluation and follow all recommended treatment.

* Melissa Ann Chaya, 28, of 802 Hawthorne St., Vandergrift, charged with retail theft, was accepted into the ARD program for one year.

* Paul Joseph Ridilla, 24, of 425 Gretchen Lane, Derry Township, pleaded guilty to use/possession of drug paraphernalia. He was sentenced to probation for one year. He was also ordered to undergo a drug and alcohol evaluation and follow all recommended treatment.

* Benjamin G. Cutler, 22, of 1217 Penn Ave., Jeannette, pleaded guilty to possession with intent to manufacture or deliver. He was sentenced to six to 23 months in jail. He was also ordered to undergo a drug and alcohol evaluation and follow all recommended treatment.

* Robert D. Piper, 20, of 436 E. Pittsburgh St., Greensburg, pleaded guilty to possession with intent to manufacture or deliver. He was sentenced to intermediate punishment for two years with three months of electronic monitoring. He was also ordered to undergo a drug and alcohol evaluation and follow all recommended treatment.

* Louise M. Lanza, 64, of 460 Maple Ave., Blairsville, charged with terroristic threats with intent to terrorize another, simple assault and harassment, was accepted into the ARD program for one year. She was ordered to undergo an evaluation and follow all recommended treatment.

* Nancy Hinchberger, 40, of 125 Buss Lane, Saxonburg, pleaded guilty to false identification to law enforcement, possession of a controlled substance, use/possession of drug paraphernalia and driving under a suspended license. She was sentenced to probation for one year.

* Scott E. Glover, 44, of 64 Lightcap Road, Unity, pleaded guilty to driving under the influence. He was sentenced to intermediate punishment for six months with 40 days of electronic monitoring. He was ordered to attend an alcohol highway safety school and his license was suspended for 12 months. He was also granted work release.

* Patrick Wagner, 44, of 305 Arizona Drive, Lower Burrell, charged with use/possession of drug paraphernalia, was accepted into the probation without verdict program for six months. He was also ordered to undergo a drug and alcohol evaluation and follow all recommended treatment.

* James Allen Trice III, 18, of 21B Edgemont Drive, Uniontown, charged with possession of marijuana, was accepted into the probation without verdict program for 30 days.

* David Clinton Truby, 44, of 112 Stanley St., Creighton in Allegheny County, charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, was accepted into the probation without verdict program for six months.

* Tyler James Shoemaker, 19, of Coal Township, Northumberland County, pleaded guilty to escape. He was sentenced to probation for one year.

* Ryan L. Rupert, 30, of 419 Fifth St. Ext., Avonmore, charged with use/possession of drug paraphernalia, was accepted into the probation without verdict program for one year.

* Rudolph L. Chambers, 44, of 1008 Edgewood Road, New Kensington, pleaded guilty to simple assault. He was sentenced to 50 days to 23 months in jail, with credit for time served. He was also ordered to complete anger management and domestic abuse counseling classes.

* Mark E. Frederick, 26, of Country Line Road, Champion, pleaded guilty to driving under the influence. He was sentenced to intermediate punishment for six months with 40 days of electronic monitoring. He was ordered to attend an alcohol highway safety school and his license was suspended for 12 months. He was also granted work release.

* Carmen Falbo, 20, of 141 Washinko Drive, Unity, charged with accident involving damage, was accepted into the ARD program for six months. On a separate charge of driving under the influence, he pleaded guilty and was sentenced to 72 hours to six months in jail. He was ordered to attend an alcohol highway safety school and his license was suspended for 12 months.

* James Ronald Hegedus, 26, of 1095 State Route 356, Leechburg, pleaded guilty to robbery. He was sentenced to two to four years in jail. He was also ordered to undergo a drug and alcohol evaluation and follow all recommended treatment.

* Matthew L. Baughman, 26, of 2125 Dailey Ave., Latrobe, pleaded guilty to possession with intent to deliver. He was sentenced to intermediate punishment for two years with three months of electronic monitoring. He was also ordered to continue in his current treatment and he was granted work release.

* Darrell W. Porterfield, 47, of 135 Pizza Barn Road, Derry Township, pleaded guilty to driving under the influence. He was sentenced to intermediate punishment for five years with six months of electronic monitoring. He was ordered to attend an alcohol highway safety school and his license was suspended for 18 months. He was also granted work release.

* Amy Ellen White, 25, of 538 Middle Ave., Wilmerding, pleaded guilty to driving under the influence. She was sentenced to intermediate punishment for five years with six months of electronic monitoring. She was ordered to attend an alcohol highway safety school and her license was suspended for 18 months. She was also granted work release.

* Richard Turner, 58, of 551 Fourth Ave., New Kensington, pleaded guilty to possession with intent to manufacture or deliver. He was sentenced to six to 23 months in jail.

* Thomas Reed Galloway, 38, of 1507 Fourth Ave., Arnold, pleaded guilty to use/possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of marijuana. He was sentenced to probation for nine months.

* Edward James Wisniewski, 24, of 1171 Hancock Ave., Vandergrift, pleaded guilty to criminal attempt-robbery and aggravated assault. He was sentenced to five to 10 years in jail. He was also ordered to undergo drug/alcohol and mental health evaluations.

* Maria Bailey, 39, of 2400 Woodstock Ave., Swissvale, pleaded guilty to simple assault. She was sentenced to 51 days to 12 months in jail, with credit for time served.

* Anthony Weathers, 27, of 133 Siberian Ave., Leechburg, pleaded guilty to driving under the influence. He was sentenced to intermediate punishment for six months with 40 days of electronic monitoring. He was ordered to attend an alcohol highway safety school and his license was suspended for 12 months. He was granted work release.

* James V. Cornman, 50, of Kittanning RD3, pleaded guilty to use/possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of marijuana. He was sentenced to probation for one year.

* Quentin Michael Keeton, 22, of 7433 Tioga St., in Pittsburgh's Homewood section, pleaded guilty to possession of marijuana. He was sentenced to probation for one month.

* Martin Stanton, 40, of 110 Alpine Drive, Lower Burrell, pleaded guilty to use/possession of drug paraphernalia. He was sentenced to probation for six months.
