A trio of children is responsible for robberies, thefts and assaults in Sheraden, Pittsburgh police said today.

Police charged three boys, ages 11, 12 and 15, with the robberies Wednesday, and suspect them in burglaries and other property crimes in the area. Police have noticed an increase in assaults, burglaries, robberies and criminal mischief reports since a family with two of the boys moved to Zephyr Street in December, police said.

Detectives obtained video of the boys, who had been targeting elderly women in Sheraden, and interviewed the 12-and- 15-year-old boys on Monday in connection with two robberies and two burglaries, police said. Detectives found stolen items at their home, and yesterday learned a third boy, 11, also was involved in two robberies.

Police expect to file additional charges against the three.
