An employee of the state prison in Pittsburgh says in a federal lawsuit filed Wednesday against the Department of Corrections that officials denied him a promotion and otherwise retaliated against him for reporting incidents of age and sex discrimination.

Jon P. Tustin, 49, of Waynesburg said that, in addition to not being promoted from captain to major, officials changed his work hours, stripped him of some of his duties and criticized him since he complained about the harassment in 2010.

A department spokeswoman couldn't be reached for comment.
