State police at Greensburg are searching for a man who robbed an East Huntingdon Rite Aid last week.

The man is described as white, in his early 20s, 6 feet tall and weighing 180 pounds. He was last seen wearing a brown hooded sweatshirt with an emblem on the front and a dark skull cap with a wide green band, also with an emblem.

At about 7:30 p.m. on Oct. 24, the man walked into the Rite Aid at 120 Country Side Plaza, off state Route 819 and passed a note to the pharmacist that “was threatening in nature,” asking for 15-milligram and 30-milligram oxycodone pills, according to Trooper Steve Limani.

Limani said the man verbally threatened the pharmacist.

The man fled on foot with a “significant quantity” of the prescription painkillers, Limani said.

Anyone who might have seen a person matching his description is asked to contact state police at 724-832-3288.
