A federal judge sentenced a Baldwin Borough man to two years of probation, including six months of home detention, for hacking and damaging a computer system that handles corporate credit card transactions.

Robert S. Toski, 48, pleaded guilty in June to accessing a J.P. Morgan/Chase server for PaymentNet in Salt Lake City. The hacking caused a $6,114 loss to J.P. Morgan/Chase and Chicago-based Levy Restaurants, which provides catering services at PNC Park and the David L. Lawrence Convention Center, prosecutors said.

U.S. District Judge Joy Flowers Conti on Monday also ordered Toski to pay a $2,000 fine and restitution to the businesses.
