One person died after a one-vehicle crash Friday evening in Somerset County. Police are withholding the person's identity until notifying next of kin.

State police were dispatched at about 6:30 p.m. to the scene along Route 160 in Ogle Township, just north of Central City.

Investigating officer Trooper Jeffrey Ely, of Somerset state police, said there was one occupant in the car — the person who died. The car hit trees, he said.

Anybody who may have witnessed the crash is asked to call police at 814-445-4104. Police continue to investigate.

Windber Fire Department, Central City Fire Department and Northern EMS assisted at the scene.
