A man was injured after being hit by a car on the South Side early Thursday.

The man, who was not identified, was taken to a local hospital after being hit at the intersection of East Carson Street and Station Square Drive, police said. His condition wasn't known.

Police found a car overturned and abandoned about a block away but don't know if it is connected to scene where the man was injured.

No further information was available.
