'American Coyotes' Series

Traveling by Jeep, boat and foot, Tribune-Review investigative reporter Carl Prine and photojournalist Justin Merriman covered nearly 2,000 miles over two months along the border with Mexico to report on coyotes — the human traffickers who bring illegal immigrants into the United States. The Jewish Federation of Greater Pittsburgh will sponsor a “We Stand with Israel” rally Monday night at the Jewish Community Center in Squirrel Hill, officials said.

In light of the recent cease-fire between Israel and Hamas in the Gaza Strip, the rally will call for keeping the peace and emphasize solidarity with Israelis affected by rocket strikes.

The rally, scheduled for 7 p.m., will include remarks from Elad Strohmayer, Israel's Deputy Consul General for the Mid-Atlantic region, a greeting from Ambassador Michael Oren and prayers.
